Our life and marriage have been put through the ultimate test: test of faith, determination and dedication to each other.
It has been 7 years since we got married, 4 years since we started working on a family addition, 3 years since we started seeing infertility specialists that cannot find anything wrong with either one of us, 2 years since our miracle baby didn’t make it past 6 weeks, 1.5 years since we've been trying to conceive with the help of IVF, 1 month since my last failed attempt and 3 days since more testing, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, have been done.
According to all the specialists, I am a picture of a perfect health.
Infertility doesn’t choose its victims by gender, age, race or income; it hurts anybody and tears great marriages apart.
Jeremy was 33 and I was 28 and we had everything we could ask for - good jobs, nice home, some savings - we were just longing for a baby. We had no doubt it would happen soon as we are both very healthy. 4 years, multiple surgeries, IVFs and thousands of dollars later, we are still longing for a baby!
But little did I know that out of my biggest despair would come the greatest gift to me and hundreds of other couples in the same situation.
Nobody wants to put a price tag on their child, but the cost of treatment is often very prohibitive to many of us. We were no exception. After many sleepless nights and extensive research, I found a very successful clinic in the Czech Republic offering treatments to patients in need of IVF and IVF with egg/sperm donation.
We did not want to keep this to only ourselves, so we founded a company to help others in our position. In only 24 months, MyIVFAlternative has helped more than 100 couples conceive.

Meantime, Jeremy and I will go to the Czech and try IVF once again this summer. Our desire and love for a child will not allow us to give up.
I want this blog to be a place of hope, knowledge and encouragement. Please write me at MyIVFAlternative@gmail.com to share your story.
